I was watching Paying it Forward like a second ago. I really enjoyed it. It was done by one of the most talented kid actors, Haley Joel Osment. I think he's really a great actor. Every touching story he's acted in has made me cry. He's not like the other young female actors (Eg. Hillary Duff & Lindsay Lohan). You don't find pictures of him in swimwear! Most of the pictures I found on the net were of him when he was younger. I haven't watched any of his late shows lately. So I always thought he remained at the age of 10-13 years old. Haha... I was surprised to find out that he's older than me when I "Googled" him. Being an actor must be really great. So many people like you for what you do. While the other unsuccessful ones are just nobodies to the world. MAN! It kinda sucks to be in this country. Because our country focuses so much on making money through business. Our country has no big time stars or anyone with unbelievably amazing acting talents. I always dreamed of appearing on tv where my family and friends "You know, I know that girl. I grew up/raised her." That would be so cool! However, where I'm from. That dream of mine probably won't happen unless you own a million dollars. Sending yourself overseas to where the big people are. So maybe I won't end up on tv. I'll probably get some boring job as a manager and work behind a desk. HOW... Demoralizing... Haix... I know I sound naggy and shit. People say I should be happy with what I have and be glad I'm not poor and begging for food on the side of the road. To be honest, I'm satisfied, but not happy. It's good enough, but not all I really hope for. I'm not doing that great in school cause that's not where I want to go or what I want to be. Study and get into a good Poly! Sounds really boring. Throw me into a world that's completely different. I wouldn't mind at all.

Whao! Whao! I haven't touched this thing in months, man! Haix... Got kinda bored of this silly boring typical layout. I ended up designing shit-loads of layouts, but never really used any of them. Guess live journal has a fixed layout template for everyone. That's the thing that really sucks. However I still like it cause it's so easy to maintain. If anyone that's close to me or knows me wants a free/original template then ask me. Most of them consists of fan arts I found when surfing the web. I've got Redyan, Naruto, Final Fantasy VII, X and X-2. Someother's are not from a game or show, just pictures or scenery. So if you want some templates or would like to take a look at some of them. Please feel free to ask. If you're nice enough, I'll design a brand new one for you with details of what you want of course. "Upgraded" my dreamweaver and adobe photoshop skills during the holidays from amateur to adequate.

Had my first driving lesson on Saturday. So much fun and so scary. Maybe a SUV is a little difficult for a first timer. Thank God it ain't manual. Well, it all started when we had to take stuff out from the boot and my brother forgot. So he asked me whether I wanted to drive. Of course I said "HELL YEAH!". So he got out and I got into the hot seat. Learned about changing gears, using the brakes and the handbrake. Handbrake's kinda useful. I had to move forward a bit to allow space to take the stuff out. So i shifted the gear to drive. Let the handbrake loose and let a little bit of the brake go. The car slid forward and then I BRAKED and pulled the handbrake. Hehe... Took the stuff out and bro taught me how to reverse back into the parking lot. Using the sensor of course. I'm an amateur! That was something. Starting the car was a piece of car though. Just turn the key. I thought I had to press on the accelerator last time. Bro told me that that was only for really, really old cars.

I'd just like to wish all the teachers in the world a very happy teacher's day. You don't actually have to be a school teacher to be wished happy teacher's day. Regardless of whether you're someone who's been seen as a mentor or even taught someone how to scold bad words, you still deserve a day off. Like a father and mother teaching their child to grow up and be a good person, they're still teachers. Anyway, I went back to school today. Primary school that is. Saw Mdm Zahrah(Sorry if I spelled your name wrongly. It's been so long since I had to write you're name on my exercise books.) and ex schoolmates. Everyone's changed, not particularly in looks, but more in attitude. I didn't really go back for seeing teachers(Even though I did!). I went back to see how much things have changed. Wanted to know whether everything was still in the same shape. Things certainly have changed. I wished they didn't though. Sure it is cruel to say that, but sometimes you wanna keep things the same so that when you come back, its exactly the same. It's kinda hard to explain, I'm sure it sounds like I'm making no sense. However, you just wanna turn back and look at something that has always been there. It's a good feeling, warm hearty feeling. It's like coming home again, but of course that's not possible if you can't identify your home. Maybe you understand me better now. Never mind. I wanted to relieve old memories with my friends and teachers. That's also not possible. People change and things are different now. Even if I did plan an outing with them. It'd feel different. Maybe something that everyone wants is to just find a small measure of peace. I guess it could be anything. From a particular person to any old place. Peace, that truly is something that everybody wants.

Well, teacher's day is coming. Heard that a lot of ex students will return to see old teachers. Should I go back to Park View to visit? It's been so long since a good enjoyable holiday. Every other one has been stressful since we always had tests on the returning day. Always thinking about pontanging, but never got the chance to and never really bothered asking for permission. A lot of stuff has happened, small stuff that is. Nothing major so I didn't write it down. Becoming lazier and lazier at turning on the computer. Hope something fun will pop up soon. Something good, something I can actually look forward to. I don't want a vacation anymore, I want excitement. Waking up at 5.45am in the morning, taking the same boring, old bus. Doing the same old thing every day. Will something happen this time round? It's been so long since I've actually had fun. Got a lot of ideas for fun, but never carried them out. Probably because my friends can't follow or they don't want to. Plus I really don't want to carry them out on my own. So maybe it's not the right time yet. I'll just wait then. Maybe write a story! Had a few good ones coming into my mind. Another great novel by Elvina? Hehex... So far I've written 2. One is about an angel(wrote that one for my ex) and the other's about... Hmm... I don't remember. I do remember writing one more though. Gotta learn how to keep my things organized. Should I do a romance/action novel or a science fiction/action novel? Both are good, it'll be hard to decide. Well, we'll see. Take care people!

WHAO! There's so much to tell and I don't know where to begin! Let's see... Piyutz told me about this really freaky song called "Gloomy Sunday". It's said to be some sort suicidal song cause a lot of people died after listening to it. When they actually released it in Britain, about 100 people died. People who commit suicide after listening to it are found with the lyrics and a suicide note saying that they want this song to be played during their funeral. The statistics aren't confirmed, but that's what the newspaper said. It was written by a Hungarian guy named Seress Reszo. I just listened to the music awhile ago. It sounds kinda broadway kinda music. It's not very depressing, more creepy than depressing. I find the lyrics more scary. After listening to the song, it doesn't bring as much thrill to you. The lyrics is the heart-breaker one. Even though I don't remember it now. So for all ya people out there who are curious can go check it out. I don't think it's exactly suicidal. If you wanna be safe. Wait for my next entry. If there's no entry by next week then I suggest you don't find out. Cause I might already be dead! Muahahaha! Actually, a lot has happened, but I can't remember what. Oops! So I guess I won't be sharing as much as I thought. Never mind though. I can tell you the most important one. I've got a new member in my family! Whoo hoo! It was a gift from my mother to my brother for getting 1st in standard in MIS! Congrats bro! It's a labrador retriever. Female. Name's Goldie and she's such a cutie! Haha... I'd show you a picture of her if I was allowed to upload photos here, but I can't. I apologize to all those dogs lover's out there. She looks like one of those very adorable dogs that are used in postcards. Hehe... Welcome to the family dear! I hope Cheeky and Toffee don't get too jealous or teach her any bad tricks. Yam seng! Here's to the new gal!

Around 12am in the morning yesterday, my bro called the house and asked me whether we had warm milk at home. I replied no and then I asked why. He said that there was a lost abandoned kitten downstairs and wanted to feed it. I was curious so I went down to the function hall to check it out myself. Saw the kitten, it looked and smelled real bad. It was really cute though. All babies are! Haha... Bro and Flora tried to feed it some melted chocolate ice cream. I don't think cats drink chocolate milk, do they? Anyway, we decided to bring it home for a bit. Cheeky just went insane and it seemed like she wanted to hunt it. Toffee on the other hand, looked like he wanted to play with it. The kitten was alert though and snapped at Toffee every time he came close. Poor Toffee was afraid of it! Haha... Anyway, they took some pictures and brought it back down.

Haha... Let's talk about the most disgusting experience Wee You has given us. During POA lesson, which was the last lesson of the day, Hui Shan was sitting beside me and she was talking to Wee You. Then Wee You had his head on the table and he let of some gas. Not from his mouth, but from his behind! He told Hui Shan and she was like 'What the hell? He still tell me some more leh!'. If I am not mistaken, Wee You's warning was 'I farted...'. Haha... There was a major bomb let loose by him! Haha... Hui Shan hastily jumped out from her seat to evacuate the area. Luqman smelled it too! He thought it was a just a garbage truck passing by. Fatta soon stood up and held his handkerchief to his face. Boy! Fatta was seated at the row next to ours. So that's quite impressive! I ducked to the window as the wind was blowing the gas in the direction away from me. Haha... Then Mdm Poon said 'No wonder Elvina's complexion so nice. Must be Wee You's miracle gas!'. Haha... I was kinda disgusted because of that. Wee You felt kinda embarrassed and maybe I shouldn't even be writing this down in my blog because he'll kill me if he sees. However, I don't think he reads my blog anymore. So that's not a problem.
Went for the Marina Carnival this afternoon. Saw a lot of stuff. Can't say that I really enjoyed myself cause everything was so rush and a lot of the nicer exhibitions weren't open. The trip was a major let down. Never mind though. Went for dinner with Hui Shan, Jian Zhi, Piyathip and Wee You after the trip. Went to Eunos and ate Yu Pian Mian(Fish Piece Noodles for direct translation. Sorry, I don't know the name in english!). A group of uncles or Bo Bo sat at the table next to us. One of them started singing, he sang pretty well. I had no idea what he was singing, but it was acceptable. Then one of the funkier bo bo asked me whether I knew what song it was. I told him I had no idea and he told me to guess. I couldn't guess cause I've never heard the song in my entire life. Hehe... Had free karaoke next to us. Jian Zhi tried to be spontaneous and started singing along. Haha... I kinda like that attitude. Can't hurt to try anything right? Hui Shan and Wee You were pretty quiet. Piyathip was kinda irritated cause they were speaking in Mandarin! Haha... The silliest excuse I've ever heard, but that's Piyathip for you! Took a nice trip home with Hui Shan's mom(In the MRT! No car!). Jian Zhi was as chatty as ever. This was kinda cool, but definitely not the best.

Yay! Today's August 9, which is National Day for Singapore! Whoo-pee! Happy 40th Birthday Singapore! The videos are so touching. Almost cried, especially the part about the SARS crisis. From a small dot on the map, unknown to all, Singapore has become one of the most prosperous and respected nations. All the Char kuey tiao, Rojak, Roti John and our star dish, Black Pepper Crab. Hehe... Our national fruit(Well... Not exactly official yet), D24 or Durian. Yeah! The king of all fruits! Extravagant buildings such as the Esplanade, Merlion at Sentosa and Raffles Hotel! Our Singapore River, which honestly doesn't look like a river anymore. Shopping at Orchard Road, all about the money and what you got. Sir Stanford Raffles still standing tall and proud in front of Victoria Concert Hall. The bustling city and the amazing sights. All of that plus it's harmonious people and you get Singapore! Uniquely Singapore! Here's me again, wishing you a very happy 40th Birthday. Haha...

Whoo hoo! Today half day only! Went to the bus-stop right outside T-mart's 7 eleven to meet Hui Shan and Piyathip. Went to MacDonald early to have breakfast with them. Saw the gay there! Haha... I'm broke man. How come these few months always no money one? Never mind. The celebration was ok. Not as fun as I thought it would be. The funny thing was that Fatta, Syiddiq and 2 other guys were dancing. Mrs Lee wanted to punish them so asked them to go to the stage and dance. She saw it as a punishment, they saw it as an invitation. So the current performing group was a bit shocked that they had spare dancers. Fatta, as usual, being the attention seeker that he is, walked right up to the front and center of the stage and joined in the dancing of our this year's national day theme. If I'm not wrong it's title is Reach for the skies. Went home after that and I was so very tired. Took a nap. Yay! I'm gonna see the fireworks tomorrow! Anyone wanna tag along?
